About This Game

Play Bubble Shooter free online - aim, shoot, and pop matching bubbles in groups of three or more. Endless arcade fun. Touch and mouse controls.

How to play Bubble Shooter

Objective: Clear every bubble off the board by firing colored bubbles that match groups of three or more, until no bubbles remain.

Move your pointer or drag across the board to aim the launcher at the bottom center, then release to fire. The aim is locked to upward angles only, so you cannot shoot sideways or down at the floor. The shot travels at a fixed speed and bounces off the left and right walls, so a bubble aimed into a side wall ricochets back across the field. Use that bounce to tuck bubbles into corners and under overhangs you cannot reach on a straight line.

The board starts with six filled rows of five possible colors: red, blue, green, yellow, and purple. When your fired bubble lands, it snaps to the nearest open cell. If that connects three or more same-colored bubbles into one touching group, the whole group pops and each popped bubble scores ten points. Any bubbles then left hanging with no path back to the top row also drop, and each of those scores ten too, so cutting support beneath a cluster is worth far more than a single match.

You win the moment the grid is completely empty. You lose in two ways. First, if a shot pops nothing and settles so low that its bottom edge reaches the dashed red line near the launcher, the game ends. Second, if the board fills so densely that a landed bubble has no open cell to snap into. Because a shot that pops bubbles never triggers the red-line loss, a well-placed match can save you even from a nearly full board.

Tips and strategy

Bank shots off the walls

Shots ricochet off the left and right edges at a mirrored angle. Aim into a wall to reach bubbles tucked under an overhang or in a far corner that a straight upward shot cannot touch on its own.

Watch the NEXT preview

The small bubble in the bottom-left corner is what you fire next. Plan two shots at once: set up a group with the current color that your upcoming color can finish, instead of reacting shot by shot.

Cut support to drop clusters

Bubbles with no connection back to the top row fall automatically after a pop, scoring ten each. Break the bubbles holding a large cluster to the ceiling and the whole hanging chunk drops, far outscoring a plain three-match.

A miss can end you

The red-line loss only triggers on a shot that pops nothing. Never fire a non-matching bubble into the lowest rows just to park it; if you have no match, place the dead bubble high where it cannot reach the line.

Frequently asked questions

How do I score points?

Every bubble that pops or falls is worth ten points. Popping happens when a landed bubble completes a same-colored group of three or more. After a pop, any bubbles left disconnected from the top row also fall and score ten each, so one shot that collapses a large cluster can score heavily.

How do I lose the game?

Two ways. If you fire a bubble that pops nothing and it settles low enough that its bottom edge crosses the dashed red line above the launcher, the game ends. You also lose if the board packs so tightly that a landed bubble has no empty cell to occupy. Matching shots never cause the red-line loss.

Does the wall of bubbles move down over time?

No. There is no timer and the existing bubbles never advance downward on their own. The board only grows lower when you add bubbles that fail to match, so the pace is entirely yours. The only downward pressure comes from your own missed shots stacking up toward the red line.

Why do I keep getting the same few colors?

The launcher only hands you colors that still exist somewhere on the board. As you clear colors out, the pool shrinks to whatever remains, so late in a round you may see just two or three colors. Once a color is gone entirely, you will never be dealt it again.
